Extra Virgin Olive Oil category is in Greece split into:

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Protected Destination Origin)
  • Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The production of all these oils must fulfil strictly settled rules.

Beside the taste, colour, humidity of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, quality can be recognized by a chemical analysis. Here, one of the important criteria is the acidity.
